As a member of Richland County School District One, Southeast Middle School’s library media program mission is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. 

This mission encompasses a numbers of specific objectives that are stated in the policy and procedures manual. Achievement of this mission at both school and district levels also requires:

·        Full integration of the library media program into the curriculum;

·        A partnership among library media specialist, district-level personnel, administrative, teachers, and parents;

·         The serious commitment of each of those partners to the value of universal and unrestricted access to information and ideas.
